Welcome First Graders!
Mrs. Uribe and I are looking forward to a great year together. I hope you and your parents check out this website often to see what is new in our class. In first grade we will be practicing reading, writing, math, science, and history. I know you are going to learn a lot and have a great year. You will learn in English and in Spanish.
Remember to read at home every day. That will help you achieve more and get off to a great start in first grade. To help you read at home, Mrs. Uribe and I will be sending books home every day and we hope you will sit with someone in your house (your mom or dad or an older sister or brother) and read.
We hope your parents will have time to visit our classrooms and listen to you and your classmates read any day from 8:00 - 8:30.
